hairdresser game

My short film Hairdresser Game was inspired by an excerpt from Afonzo Cruz's book O Livro Do Ano. A little girl and her grandfather are playing hairdresser. Although the grandfather is completely bald, the girl's imagination creates vivid hairstyles for him.
In the visual world, I was inspired by my favorite French cartoons such as Avril et le Monde truqué (directed by Christian Desmares and Franck Ekinci) and Tante Hilda! (directed by Benoît Chieux and Jacques-Rémy Girerd). I wanted to try and master this cartoonish, comic-like style. In addition, I tried to show the atmosphere of an ordinary home in which the little girl and her grandfather live.
